Developed around a client/server architecture, the device consists
of a park of terminals located in several municipalities, connected
by Internet to the Point Com.
• The "back office"
central management
A dedicated set of modules provides the back office. They insure
the setting server connections, the management of terminals and
conferencing. A clear and simple interface displays the list and
connection status of each terminal (connected, busy, etc.) and
of the different public utilities in the network. It facilitates
an operator/administrator’s easy management of video conferencing,
through defined procedures, and the possible rerouting to the
operators of the partnering services, or even their intervention
though video conferencing, if necessary.
• The terminals / users
Connected to the server through which they operate (via IP address),
the terminals, an ideal communication support, ensure the delivery
of services provided directly by the back office and by the network
of the different public utilities. A fun and interactive interface
presents users with the different features available on the terminal
(print, scan and send documents to the back office, videoconferencing,
sending e-mails).
A secure browser (Espot) also allows access to a portal of links
to selected services, and guarantees secure and controlled Internet
browsing.
